The following areas are needs Freedom House has right now for volunteers to step in and give an hour or more, whatever they can, once or on a regular basis. Please be aware that because we serve children, applications and background checks are required of all volunteers.

• Reception: answer phones and greet visitors to Freedom House
• Food Prep: Bring in meals for families or cook a meal at Freedom House
• Childcare: Watch the children while parents look for work or housing (daytime hours) or when we have bible, budgeting and parenting classes (evening hours)
• Tutoring: Children need help with reading, writing & arithmetic
• Maintenance: Help with minor repairs, painting, yard work and general upkeep of the property
• Cleaning: Help us keep Freedom House facilities, blankets and sheets clean
• Donation Sorting: Help sort donations that come in such as food, clothing and household items
• Handyman On Call: One never knows when emergencies will strike, but anyone who owns a home knows they come at the least opportune times – plumbing, electrician, carpenter, etc. willing to be called on at odd hours is welcome indeed
