Volunteer Coordinator

In 2010, Lydia Davison began her journey at St. Norbert College. As a part of the “Into the Streets” program for the First Year Students, Lydia found herself serving at Freedom House - washing windows all around the building. She was excited to learn that there was such a unique program so close to her new home. During her senior year, she was reconnected to Freedom House and began to serve regularly as a receptionist and in the childcare. “Just walking into Freedom House each week gave me such joy! I had become passionate about the program - I could see that it was effective and the staff were truly working to God’s glory. The kiddos were excited to see us each week and I felt like I was making a difference,” Lydia said about her volunteer experience. “One day, Amber, the previous Volunteer Coordinator, told me that she was going to be leaving her position so that she could be a stay-at-home mom and pursue that dream. She told me that she thought I would be a great fit for the Volunteer Coordinator position and I was immediately filled with excitement!” Lydia has been in this position since March 2015 and truly enjoys meeting so many compassionate, creative, devoted and productive members of our community.
